Gram positive Cocci in clusters (staph Aureus)
Gram positive Cocci in chains (strept Sp.)

Negative Birefringent (yellow) Needle shaped crystal --> Monosodium urate crystals --> Gout
Positive Birefringent (blue) Rhomboid shaped crystals --> Calcium Pyrophosphate Crystals --> Pseudogout
